LTk at the ILC09
One highlight was taking part at this years ILC which took place in Cambridge MA. The ILC had a full day of tutorials on Sunday and I was happy to be accepted with a tutorial about LTk. Full four hours were allocated, so plenty of time to talk. Actually a frightening large amount of time to talk and to prepare.
There were several parallel tutorial sessions on that day, especially the Clojure talk was very well filled (I have to confess, I left it only as I had to attend my own talk...). So my audience endet up a bit on the small side, but that also meant that the talk turned out to be very interactively.
There were plenty of questions and contributions from the audience. So about half of the presentation was interactive with the audience and at the REPL. This is much more enjoyable than to run through a set of fixed slides. While I initially had feared only to have material for about 2 hours, at the end of the allocated time I even had skipped a few slides. I hope, the video recording of the talk becomes available for download at some time. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
